Hong Kong
Hong Kong is one of Asia’s most vibrant cities, and largest financial centres. It is one of China’s most cosmopolitan and international gateways, and a large regional hub. Singapore
Singapore is another major financial market in Asia, as well as one of the world’s busiest ports and major oil refining centre’s. It is also a large manufacturing base, especially for electronic components, and a major centre for Life Sciences. In banking, it is a particular hub for Private Banking / Wealth Management and Operations and it is the world’s fourth largest foreign currency trading market. PR of China
China is the world’s most populace nation, and the world’s fourth largest economy. It is an emerging super power, and the focus for a lot of the regions growth over the coming years. In line with this, the recruitment market is growing rapidly in China, especially in the main cities of Shanghai and Beijing, covering all industries and functions. The recruitment market is relatively immature in China, and highly regulated, leading to a challenging, exciting and interesting environment to work in. India
India is the regions other rapidly growing powerhouse, and the world’s second most populace nation. It is a culturally diverse democracy, and the main cities are Mumbai, New Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata and Hyderabad. Tokyo
One of the 47 prefectures of Japan, and due to the seat of the government and the Imperial family being located there, the de facto capital city, Tokyo is one of the largest cities in the world. It has long been one of the worlds most prominent centres for commerce, with the world’s largest metropolitan economy. Tokyo is a major international finance centre, houses the headquarters of several of the world's largest investment banks and insurance companies, and serves as a hub for Japan's transportation, publishing, and broadcasting industries. It is also one of the world’s most expensive cities to live. Japan’s work-ethic and mastery of high technology has helped it become the world’s second largest economy. South Korea
South Korea is another of the four Asian Tigers, with it’s capital and commercial centre Seoul. It is one of the most scientifically and technologically advanced countries in the world, indeed the countries culture is heavily dominated by technology and it is the worlds most wired nation (90% of homes connected to cheap broadband). It is a global leader in electronics, computers, digital displays, semiconductor devices, mobile phones and hightech gadgets, and the other main industries are shipbuilding, steel and automobiles. Taiwan
The Republic of China is a bustling economy off the coast of Mainland China, with it’s capital, and main centre of finance and business, Taipei. With a colourful history, it is another Asian Tigers, with main industries: Electronics, Semi-Conductor, Petroleum Refining, Chemicals, Textiles, Iron and Steel, Machinery, Cement, and Food Processing. It is a relatively immature recruitment market with few global players having a presence there. Again, Banking and Finance and IT&T are buoyant recruitment markets, with most other activity relative to the aforementioned industries.

Macau
An economy based largely on the gaming industry, Macao is a former Portuguese colony now under the management of the PRC. It is a short boat ride from Hong Kong, and until recently more or less a sleepy backwater. The opening up of the gaming industry has led to wide-scale development in Macao with new licenses issued to Vegas Casino operators such as Sands / Venetian and Wynn’s. With several more hotel casino’s being constructed over the coming years, it is set to become the Las Vegas of Asia. Macao’s economy is now booming with zero unemployment and a huge demand for staff, especially in the hotel and gaming industry, opening up opportunities for the provision of overeas workers. There are few recruitment companies in Macao, but several firms service the market from Hong Kong and further afield. The main recruitment markets are: Hospitality, Gaming, and Construction / Architecture.
